Mahindra XUV300 compact SUV just got a MASSIVE Rs. 1 lakh price drop

The sub-4m compact SUV segment is currently the most competitive segment in India. After the launch of all-new cars like the Hyundai Venue and the Mahindra XUV300 in the segment last year, With the two all-new cars entering the segment later this year, the competition is set to rise even further. Mahindra XUV300, which was also launched in the Indian market last year became one of the best-selling cars in the segment. However, with time, the number of XUV300 sold in the market has come down considerably.

In order to boost sales, Mahindra has announced a price cut of the XUV300 in the Indian market. The price reduction varies from Rs 1,000 to Rs 87,000 depending on the variant and model. The lowest price cut is on the base version of the XUV300 diesel, which is the W4 variant. The price cut is only Rs 1,000 while the petrol top-end optional variant – the W8(O) has received the highest cost cut of Rs 87,000. The price of the on-road will be reduced by around Rs 1 lakh on the top-end optional petrol variant. Here is a detailed price list of the new XUV300:

The Mahindra XUV300 is powered by both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variants come powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine that generates a maximum power of 108 Bhp and peak torque of 200 Nm. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission. The diesel variants of the XUV300 offer a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates a maximum power of 114 Bhp and peak torque of 300 Nm. It gets a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed AMT automatic transmission.

Mahindra is also working on the electrified version of the XUV300 that was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. The all-new XUV300 EV will take on the likes of MG ZS EV and the Tata Nexon EV in the market.

Later this year, Kia will launch the all-new Sonet in the market whereas, Nissan will launch the all-new Magnite in the Indian market. Currently, the Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford ExoSport, Honda WR-V are present in the segment. Vitara Brezza leads the sales chart at the moment.
